I spent high-school with her son Kenya, so have a very good relationship with Heidi. We are currently re-stocking the batiks as so many have sold, but we should have several hundred more batiks in stock soon!

    Hi Pearl,

I’m thinking the batik you bought may be Christmas or Children’s Tree. My guess is Children’s Tree. You can browse more of Heidi’s work at http://www.heidilange.net/incEngine/?art=iris_gallery which does include the names of her works.

Since I was the Director of the World Bank Children’s Center, the piece was perfect hanging in my office. The piece is approximately 36″ x 40″. It features children around and on a tree with an elephant to the left and a giraffe to the right. Now I enjoy seeing it every day as it hangs over my desk in my home office. I would love knowing the title of this batik and anything else you could tell me about it. I hope this email will be answered at pearl.waxman@roadrunner.com

Now there are in the plain teak frames. Two of them I gave to my close friend, Tiemjai Tongmuang. I could touch her happiness when she got them.I hope that one day I will meet her, Heidi. If you have chance to visit Thailand please don’t hesitate to let me know.My email addresss is tsirima@gmail.com
